Mission

The unfoldment of the power inherent in the core of our being is the key to all spiritual practices (sadhana). All spiritual traditions, particularly Tantra aims at awakening this dormant power within us. The foundation of Sadhana is built on two main objects - opening of the psychic being and realization of the self above. The Hindu Tantra System deals with the techniques of transcending self to higher planes-from self-realization to cosmos realization.

ICCS envisages to emerge as a Center to study consciousness and transcendentalism based on feminine creative power (shakti) - the Universal Mother. This power is the foundation and sustenance of all that exists and will come to exist.

Shivah shaktya yukto yadi bhavati shaktah prabhavitum
na ced evam deva na khalu kusalah spanditum api.

Only when united with Shakti does Shiva obtain the power to create. Without Her the Supreme cannot stir. The Center through its various activities, i.e., Workshops, Conferences, Discourses and Research will try to gather and disseminate the insights drawn from scriptures on Tantra, Mantra and Yantra for developing intra - psychic health by unleashing the intra psychic energies. In Indian religio - philosophy psychic energy is conceived as a medium to give mind upward direction. The process of internalization of consciousness is achieved through yogic methods that turn consciousness inwards.

ISOL Center for Consciousness Studies plans to carry out its activities following the footsteps of Sri Aurobindo and Mother with reference to sun lit path.
